Rain rain, go away, come again another day. Little Janice wants to play.
Strangely enough, when I got into Dubai, weather has been bad. Apparently, Dubai gets really little rain in a year. Some years I hear, they only have 2 days of rain in a year, and other years, only 10 mins of rain in a year. I was in Dubai for 9.5 days, and it rained more than half of those times, and the rest were really dark and cloudy. Because of sucky weather, I missed my chance for a dinner on the dhow. Hmph.
When I got back to Singapore, it's been pouring. Good for sleeping in, but just can't get a suntan with this kinda weather. I need to catch up on my swimming and running! Spent quite a bit of time indoors doing work (yes I'm on a "working" holiday), and other times catching up with friends over a few cuppas.
Heading off to Shanghai tomorrow. The forecast didn't look good at all. It's freezing, and rainy. Perfect combination for my holidays. Get to stay indoors! I hope Shanghai doesn't burn a hole in my pocket.
Boo hoo hoo.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Merry Christmas everyone!
As you advance in age, the number of presents will diminish. Remembering the times where I had a million presents (ok i'm exaggerating). Anyway, that is a sign of getting older. How sad.
We opened pressies under the christmas tree (not exactly under, but around)

Dubai Part 4
Yes, yes, there are many Dubai post. That's because it had been so fun! I've been stuck in this country for like what.... a billion years??? STUCK is the word
Anyway, these are just misc shots / random shots here and there. Mucking around in the office and attempting to do our work, and of our daily trips to Deira Shopping Centre for dinner.
The still-ness of my desk in the office. My Bag, an apple and a banana.

Well, this is an artist impression of Palm Jebel Ali we worked on. (Rather, it is Palm Gerbil Ali because of the Gerbil named Ali sitting on the Palm tree.)
@ the restaurant named Paul where the food was absolutely ga ga.
Dubai Part 3 - @ Felipe's and BurJurman
It was my second last night in Dubai. We all had dinner at Felipe's and got a ride down to Bur Jurman Shopping Centre after.
Dinner was absolutely yummy and Filippino. All the speciality food from Philippines!
Check the pictures out!
The next few shots are shots of a proposed development that include residential, commercial etc etc properties. It models different parts of the world like New York, France, China, Africa. Check them out!
Bur Jurman is one of the nicest shopping centres I visited. Pictures explain it all.

Dubai Pictures Part 2 - Dubai Creek
More pictures as promised.
We had our end of year Christmas function at the Dubai Creek Club. It was a nice little cosy place... urm... I mean nice little posh-y place. The whole setting was relaxing, weather was fantastic with a lil breeze enough to make you shiver, people were over friendly.
David, Tim and I got there early. We got to take a few photos, talk to some people (can't remember names now), and drank a few glasses of JUICE! They have a policy there that you can't have alcohol before 8pm. How strange. So pre-dinner drinks was just pineapple juice! But juices in Dubai are simple yum yum!
We landed up in a table full of really important people. Seriously important. Talking to those people, we had NO idea that they were the chairman of the company, some big time managers etc. It was good fun, but a lil strange when we found that out.
Theme for that night was "Creative Hats". David came in his blue hat with little evil looking santas around it, Tim came with his BIG BLUE fish (which was the talk of the night), and I came with my santa's headband. Tim would have won the "best hat" prize, but I guess they were trying not to blow up his big ego with a prize like that. *sorry for poking at u!*
Anyway, enjoy the pictures...

Tim with his handbag and make up case
David and Tim, Tim & I - on the boat across the creek. Apparently we got cheated (cos Tim looked too much of a tourist). Yes, put the blame on Tim. "whatever"... 10 Dhs for a ride when it should only have cost 1.50 Dhs!
At some random shop in some random souk(market) - Whose mouth is bigger?
Outside the Dubai Museum - Tim doing the climb of his life up a 1m wall.
At the Dubai Museum - No, the fruit is NOT real
Fruits from all over the world! USA, Australia, Japan, Philippines, Japan, Kenya, etc etc. Cheap too!
